Even though it's only six stories, it feels like it's two stories!

6階なのに、まるで2階建!?

Otsuma Women's University student dormitory. The building is six stories tall, but when viewed from across the street it gives the illusion of being two stories tall.
The secret lies in the design of the Skyline.
Taking into consideration shadow regulations, everything was meticulously planned, from the layout of the residential buildings, the span of the apartments, and even the height of the parapets.
The building is designed so that the skyline of each floor is aligned with the second floor when viewed from the sidewalk on the opposite side of the road.
The three-part volume, combined with the low skyline, has created a façade that blends in smoothly with the cityscape without feeling oppressive.
