|CONCEPT
A house for two couples on a narrow lot facing an alley.
This house is constructed by inserting floors at various heights into four continuous U-shaped structural walls.
Floors of different heights create various perspectives and scales of space, and contain expansion and change within a limited space.
In planning, we established a system that can be deployed in various ways, and then converged into a specific space according to the client's lifestyle and the context of the site.
The reason why I chose “Dan no Ie” instead of using a proper noun is because I thought it would have generality that could be developed while flexibly responding to individual lives and places.
