A three-story wooden house on the hill of Daizawa.
First of all, the corner of the site is rounded, and a gently continuous large wall divides the interior space with high privacy and the public exterior space. The outer wall is made of galvalume steel plate, which is wiped diagonally like scales to create the characteristic appearance of this house.
The interior has a complicated cross-sectional shape with six layers of floors. By making effective and dense use of the six floors, we have created a spacious and relaxing space.
The first floor is the living room, the entrance, and the parking lot. The garden side has a wooden sash that can be fully opened with a height of 4.2m, and by opening this window, the living room and the outside space are integrated.
If you go up half a floor from the first floor, you will be connected to the dining kitchen that is integrated with the living room. The kitchen is a special seat where you can overlook the entire space where the family gathers while cooking.
At the back of the dining room, a Japanese-style room was set up using old materials for the storehouse door and lattice door. The walls of the Japanese-style room are finished with polished black plaster, the facing is washed out coral, and the alcove has a special plaster finish using metal.
In addition to the private rooms, there is a study for the whole family on the 2nd floor, which is accessed by a staircase with skylights. The top light also plays the role of brightening the center of the house, which tends to be dark.
In addition to the wood-burning stove, the floors of the first and second floors are equipped with thermal storage floor heating, making it possible to spend a comfortable time even in winter despite the height of the ceiling.
