|CONCEPT

This building is a wooden two-story building with the owner's residence on the first floor and a rental apartment on the second floor.
By varying the floor heights of the rental housing on the second floor, spaces with various ceiling heights were created in the owner's residence on the first floor.
Spaces of different scales are connected by simple manipulation of form, giving rhythm to life.
In addition, the roof of the rental residence on the second floor is also stepped, and the difference in level is used to bring ventilation and lighting to all units like a corner room.
In addition, a soil thermal storage type floor heating that uses late-night electricity has been adopted for the entire underfloor of the first floor. In winter, the environment is comfortable no matter where you are on the first floor.
