Hokuriku Architectural Culture Award 2009 Awards Ceremony
Machiya Office was awarded the Hokuriku Architectural Culture Award 2009 and we attended the award ceremony.
We will report on what happened on the day.
This photo shows the award ceremony, with co-designer Toru Kashihara pictured on the left.
The venue was Niigata University of Technology in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture.
The award was presented at the Hokuriku Branch Conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan, held on July 17th and 18th.
There is a peaceful landscape all around.

The shield I received when I received the award.
After the award ceremony, I gave a presentation together with my co-designer, Toru Kashihara. We used the same data that we had used in our presentation in Germany the other day.
We were extremely honored to receive feedback from the judges, who said, "The actual space is even more amazing than in the photographs."
