Tokyo Great Visual
A hospitality space where tradition and creativity intersect
| Providing hospitality in a space
Tokyo Great Visual is an office interior that recreates the Japanese spirit of "omotenashi" in a modern way.
The client is a company that handles branding and communication design with a focus on hospitality, and they were looking for a way to resonate between their corporate activities and Japanese culture.
| A welcoming space where surprise and relief coexist
The reception area is constructed using bold wooden framework, and mirrors are installed on the walls, creating a visual effect in which the wooden structure continues into the large space.
Traditional Japanese materials such as roof tiles, plant-dyed washi paper, and tatami mats are incorporated into the fixtures, floors, and walls to create a spatial experience that brings surprise and comfort to visitors at the same time.
| A work environment that inspires creativity
In the work space, traditional Japanese colors are used on the fixtures and walls, adding a rich, colorful atmosphere to an office that tends to be impersonal.
By combining modern materials such as LEDs and glass, the intention is to provide visual stimulation that will bring out the creativity of employees.
| The idea of circulation told by the cedars of Mount Koya
The wooden structure and fixtures are made from solid cedar grown in the natural forests of Mount Koya.
This initiative, which contributes to revitalizing forestry and recycling resources, combines the spirit of hospitality inherent in the space with consideration for the environment.
