Imaginative
A self-built workspace where furniture falls from the ceiling
| A creative space realized through self-build
This project is a self-build office that I was asked to build by an acquaintance.
The challenge was how to create a functional and attractive space within a limited budget and time frame.
Therefore, we aimed to create a space that makes use of ingenuity and ideas by thoroughly simplifying the materials and structure.
| Furniture made only from plywood and screws
All of the furniture is constructed using only plywood and screws, making it easy to install and cost-effective.
By eliminating all unnecessary elements and creating a space with the bare minimum, we were able to create a rough yet purposeful design.
| Choosing to hang it from the ceiling
Taking advantage of the building's existing deck ceiling, much of the furniture is hung from the ceiling.
By keeping the space as light on its feet as possible, a sense of openness is created both visually and physically.
It is a rational and experimental approach that achieves maximum effect with minimal support points.
