EX

Connecting with the city, an extension of the city

| Architecture that will play a key role in urban revitalization in front of Chiba Station

EX is a new urban facility located opposite the scramble crossing in front of Chiba Station, and will serve to revitalize the aging streetscape.
Being a place where many people come and go, the building was expected to serve as the "face" of the city.

| An open space that connects with the city

An open atrium space has been created on the side facing the shopping street, concentrating all traffic flow there.
A highly transparent curtain wall visually connects the interior of the building with the shopping street, creating a lively space that is integrated with the town.

| Graphic design that enhances the landmark's appeal

Organic graphics by plaplax have been inserted into the five-story void facing the intersection.
It increases visibility from the outside while at the same time giving movement and rhythm to the interior space.

| The intention for the town that is embedded in "EX"

The building's name "EX" comes from the prefix meaning "outside."
This building is a hub open to the town, with the hope that a variety of information and stimulation will be disseminated and the entire block will develop into an attractive place.
