| CONCEPT

This project is interior design of a restaurant located on the first floor of Senri Central Hospital, which was opened in 2008. The whole design, from food menu to services is based on the keyword “healthy”.
Senri used to be a hilly region full of bamboo trees. Bamboo is a tree that grows fast; therefore it has been the symbol of health from the past. At the other hand because of its lush green color and its straight figure, it is known as a purifier plant. We realized that bamboo is a very proper material to use in Senri with “healthy” as its concept.
In this design Bamboo is used in display, walls and flooring design. By arranging green bamboos in between glass partitions and illuminating them, it seems as if the outer space inserts inside, creating a fresh atmosphere.
