|CONCEPT

A duplex on a small plot of land facing Gyoranzaka. Back of the site faces the Gyoran temple. The first floor is for the parents, consisting of their living space and their store, 2nd and 3rd floor is their children’s family of four members. The ceiling heights of the individual rooms are varied then connected three dimensionally with the stair core. This resulted in a unique line of sight and sense of varying scale, giving the sense of expansion and transition of time in the limited plot of land. Main rooms are intentionally opened towards the temple side for it creates a unique view.
